TJGT
- Stonebriar Fazio Course
Even
though it was the first of January - this was our first tournament that had to deal with real winter temperatures. The kids
had their first frost delay but eventually the sun came out and it wasn't too windy. Other than that - Kyle continues to work
on the longer distances and enjoyed teeing it up with the older boys. Everyone he's played with have been extremely supportive
and just great competitors. The last event before going back to school after the Christmas holidays.
NTPGA
All - American Tour Kickoff
Boys 15 - 18 Brookhaven CC - Championship Course
It's Kyle's first NTPGA event since last summer.
In 2012, he played in the Boys 13-14 division, but since rejoining the TJGT tour in the Boys 15-18 group, it only made sense
to play the same age division in any event he tees up in. The All-American Tour series for the NTPGA is has 2-day events
year round and kicked off 2013 at Brookhaven CC. As it's been all this winter, the weather has been predictably unpredictable
and the conditions for Round 1 have been very different from the conditions of Round 2. No frost delays, and thankfully
no rain. Kyle was able to tie for 8th and it was great to meet new golfers as well as catch up with old friends.

Azalea Trail Classic Boys 15 - 18 Hollytree
CC
Mirroring the conditions of the PGA - Weather played a big part
in this annual NTPGA event - the All-American Tour Azalea Trail Classic. Stormy - cold - weather delays along with severe
lightning strikes. The kids were bundled up and seeking shelter around the firepit.

Club of Dallas Boys 15 - 18
The sun was shining and the wind was blowing - as Kyle continued
to compete in the Boys 15-18 division for the NTPGA's All-American Tour. Though he was still a month away from his 13th
birthday, he was accumulating points in order to qualify for the Tour Championship in November. Only the top 9 would
be eligible. Kyle had his best finish yet - he was tied for 4th - just 3 shots off the lead. Kyle was definitely
holding his own against the older boys.

Junior Championship
Lakewood CC Boys 15 - 18
Just one month after his 13th birthday, Kyle was invited to play
in this elite junior event held at the beautiful Lakewood CC. The site had been hit hard by a hailstorm in 2012 but
had been completely restored and even hosted a qualifier for the US Open. There were 78 entrants and Kyle's opening
75 had him tied for 25th. Shooting an 81 in round 2 left him just 3 shots below the cut line but it was a great experience
and Kyle will have more opportunities to compete in this annual event.
